Bachelor or Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and three years related experience.

  • ISO or TS/IATF Certification preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Word Processing software

Layout Analysis Technologist:  Day and Afternoon Shifts

Position Description:

Provide dimensional inspection data on parts, assemblies, stamping panels and white bodies using 3 axis manual measuring machines, automated coordinate measuring machines (CMM's), laser scanners/trackers and hand measuring instruments. Other duties include extracting nominal information from CAD models, creating the reporting forms and programming of automated CMM's. Participating in new model trials both in Japan and North America. Analyzing the data and providing C/M ideas for resolving the issue.

 Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications:

  -High school diploma (or equivalent) plus working experience in a metrology/inspection department, performing detailed dimensional analysis on product

  -Relevant experience in a manufacturing

  -Must be proficient in operating and/or programming CMM's and laser scanning technologies

  -Knowledgeable in the use of various CMM programming software to include ChorusNT, PC-DMIS,     PolyWorks and MM4

  -Proficient with MS Office applications, CAD systems, SPC, GD&T, MSA

  -ASQ certification a plus

  -Some domestic and international travel required
