Each year ASQ Middle Tennessee Section 1118 provides the "Vince Barry Award" to the Leader Member (other than the section chair) who contributes a significant amount of their time and talents to the success of the section.  Vince Barry was a founding member of Section 1118 and volunteered for many roles in the early years of our section.  The Executive Board nominates individuals in March and approves the recipient for presentation of the award during the April membership meeting.

The Vince Barry Award winner for 2009-2010 is Rita Miller, Secretary of Section 1118.  Rita has been attending all of the Board and Membership meeting where she has been recording minutes, posting the minutes to the website, and arriving early at each membership meeting to assist in setting up the meeting room and presentation equipment.
